Bobby Thandi is the founder and CEO of XR Games; an award-winning game development studio based in the UK. Founded in 2017, XR Games specialises in full-scale immersive AR/VR games, and is led by industry veterans from Rockstar, Activision Blizzard, EA, Codemasters, Sumo, Team 17, and others. In 2021, XR Games won the GP Bullhound Award for 'International Success 2021' and ‘Best Small Studio 2021’ at the TIGA Awards. Bobby attracts talent to build teams, secures licences from Hollywood film studios, and wins key clients for work-for-hire projects. He’s also responsible for developing key relationships with global partners such as Sony Pictures, Facebook, Microsoft, Valve, and others. In 2021 Bobby raised £4.1m seed investment from Maven Capital Partners, Praetura Ventures, and ACT Capital Partners, and was a finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year at both the Prolific North Tech Awards and the Leeds Digital Festival Awards.
