Founded in 2024, Feel the Pixel is a newly established indie studio focused on creating innovative gaming experiences, combining high-quality visuals with refined gameplay.

Its first project, How We Became Heroes, is a shoot ‘em up that introduces unique mechanics, including a player-controlled dynamic shield, allowing for strategic defense amid intense enemy and projectile battles. The game also features a progression system, where upgrades are obtained through Echoes collected from defeated enemies, expanding the player’s evolution possibilities.

All of this unfolds within an immersive sci-fi narrative, where each loop brings new discoveries and challenges.

How We Became Heroes

How We Became Heroes is an innovative shoot 'em up combining intense action with roguelike elements.

Players directly control a dynamic shield, strategically blocking attacks and interacting with the environment, demanding precision and quick decision-making. The progression system uses Echoes collected from defeated enemies to unlock upgrades for abilities and weapons.

Currently at a playable alpha stage, the game has fully implemented core mechanics, a functional shield system, active upgrades, and a complete level featuring four distinct scenarios, diverse enemies, a developed boss fight, character-rescue mechanics, and fully integrated art and soundtrack.

The initial model is direct sales, with future potential for cosmetic items and difficulty customization options.
