Stan is a senior data scientist who hails from Scotland. An alumnus of the University of Edinburgh, he graduated with an MSc in Speech & Language Processing in which his thesis revolved around the prediction of human emotion from speech waveforms. He has a passion for merging analytics with game design. As a key figure in the establishment of a data-driven culture at Koffeecup, he has helped pioneer innovative data strategies that transform player insights into actionable improvements. With a background in interactive technology and business intelligence, Stan has worked on integrating machine learning, KPIs, and scalable analytics pipelines to enhance game development and player engagement. Outside of work, Stan represents the Scotland national team at national and international quizzing competitions, and also enjoys reading and playing board games.
