Long Hat House is an independent game studio founded by Lucas and João, two computer scientists from Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

Since 2014, we’ve been crafting unique, boundary-pushing games — including Dandara, Dandara: Trials of Fear, Magenta Arcade, and Magenta Arcade II.

Dandara

Released in 2018

In a bizarre universe where the oppressed are on the brink of oblivion, Dandara has awoken to reshape the world.

As a metroidvania carefully designed with both touch and gamepad in mind, we considered how you could achieve exploration and fast action using either input. The result was a gravity bending world where movement is comprised of jumping from surface to surface in lovingly crafted environments. It's up to Dandara to restore balance and give direction to a directionless world!

Magenta Arcade was our bold debut — fun, full of potential, but made with modest resources. Now, a decade later, we return with sharper skills, better tech, full team, and a vision to fully unleash the chaos!

In the role of a mythological deity that has been wronged by a family of eccentric scientists, you will face hordes of robots and gadgets deployed by your enemies, shooting projectiles by touching the screen with your finger.

Your finger becomes an extension of your body, directly impacting the in-game universe, turning the touchscreen, both gameplay and narrative-wise, into a window to this world.
