Marginal Games is a studio run by Afro-peripheralized people, aiming to create board games that tell erased stories of the city of São Paulo and Brazil.

Our first game, accelerated by SampaGames 4th Edition, is called Abya Yala - The Siege of Piratininga, which narrates the indigenous history of the city of São Paulo.

Abya Yala: The Siege of Piratininga is a game that revisits the history of the São Paulo territory in a critical way, bringing reflections on colonization, land disputes, and resistance. Its proposal is to connect players with different perspectives, highlighting memories and narratives that are often overlooked.
Developed by Marginal Games, the project aims to create games with a unique identity, inspired by peripheral experiences and ancestral knowledge. The studio’s goal is to expand representation in gaming, using games as a form of artistic, cultural, and political expression.
