ITEC - Instituto de Tecnologia e Computação

ITEC — Instituto de Tecnologia e Computação is a new private, philanthropic and non-profit university being built in Porto Alegre (RS), Brazil, with its first class entering in 2027. It is the largest philanthropic bet on education currently underway in the country: R$400 million over ten years, fully funded by five founding families, with no government ties. The four-year Computer Science degree is full-time and residential, on a 20-hectare campus with full scholarships for those who need them. ITEC was born to shape the next generation of technology creators in Brazil, finding talent where it usually goes unnoticed.
