A Deep Travel is a survival adventure game, featuring stylized 2D art, 3D-projected physics, an original soundtrack, and a setting that blends science and fiction in a semi-realistic style.

The narrative puts the player in the shoes of Khalei, an alien astronaut who crashes on an unknown planet after traveling through a wormhole, and must rebuild their ship's engine to return home.

The planet's geography, fauna, and flora are heavily inspired by the Brazilian Cerrado, as well as the culture of the native peoples, which presents the vision of Amerindian Perspectivism, and a language based on the Tupi and Macro-Jê linguistic branches.
