Injustice 2 marked a significant leap in fidelity and visual complexity for the franchise, introducing deep gear and customization systems that demanded a high volume of production-ready character assets.
We started the project working on NPCs and progressively took on more responsibility as production scaled. By the end, we were the primary character team, delivering main character skins across high and low-poly modeling, sculpting, and texturing, all integrated directly into NetherRealm's pipeline.
