Alhajillo Interactive is an Ecuador-based indie studio focused on creating interactive digital experiences through video games and web platforms. We combine creativity, storytelling, and technology to develop original projects and help ideas connect with audiences in meaningful ways. As a young studio, we are also committed to contributing to the growth of Ecuador’s game development industry. Our trajectory includes being finalists at Game Jam Plus 2025 with Capybara Island and finalists again at Game Jam Plus 2026 with Rongú, reflecting our focus on building distinctive projects with cultural identity and market potential.

Rongú

Rongú is a rhythm-based combat game where every strike, dodge, and combo must sync with the beat to unleash its full power. Beyond its gameplay, the game is deeply inspired by Afro-Ecuadorian culture, with characters, environments, and music shaped by marimbas, drums, and ancestral chants. Rongú blends expressive mechanics with a distinctive cultural identity, delivering an experience that is both mechanically engaging and thematically memorable.
