Cururu: Whispers of the Forest is a 2D Metroidvania set in a post-human Naturepunk Brazil, where nature has reclaimed the world. Players control Cururu, a Brazilian cane toad chosen by Naiá, the Victoria Regia, to cleanse biomes corrupted by the Miasma using the power of the Lunar Waters. Inspired by Brazilian wildlife, folklore, and regional cultures, the game blends exploration, ability-based progression, puzzles, and combat in an interconnected world. With a strong cultural identity, spiritual narrative, and distinct artistic direction, Cururu delivers a unique experience with global appeal, rooted in a rich Brazilian imagination rarely explored in games.
