The AbleGamers Foundation is an American charity organization with global activities that has the the mission of combating social isolantion through enabling play, in order to foster inclusive communities, and improve the lives of people with disabilities. For more than 20 years, we make videogames more accessible for people with disabilities, and we act in Brazil since 2017.
The charity develops and provides adapted controllers around the world, including for Brazil, in addition to working with developers to make games more and more accessible, thus benefiting
thousands of people at once.
AbleGamers Brazil was officially founded in July/2021, becoming the first branch of AbleGamers outside the USA and the first non-profit in Brazil aimed towards gamers with disabilities.

Certificação Praticante de Experiência Acessível para Jogadores - Accessible Player Experiences (APX)®

AbleGamers Brasil will be at gamescom Latam to promote the Accessible Player Experience (APX) certification. Our goal is to empower developers who want to create accessible games.

APX is a system composed of design patterns, which apply to any type of game, on any type of platform, and which has already generated results in the industry.

With our certification, you will be able to:
— Apply our APX design patterns and promote a focus on accessibility early in the design cycle
— Learn to identify accessibility issues during the design cycle and implement solutions to fix them
— Equip yourself with the necessary data to show that accessibility is a worthwhile investment in your title

AbleGamers Brasil is a non-profit organization, all the cost of the course is reinvested in the operation of the organization, so that we can continue with our work.
