Traf: Suits of Fate is a Brazilian 2D pixel-art fighting game that draws inspiration from classic SNK titles, and the BlazBlue and GuiltyGears franchises, while striving for a strategic gameplay akin to the Street Fighters series, which is welcomed by the professional e-sports scene.
Our game’s philosophy is being easy to learn and hard to master. While, all standard features of a fighting game are present, many have unique twists. For instance, we simplified how special abilities are used, easing the learning curve, while introducing a progressive cost system, which allows new combos to be employed at different stages of the fight. On top of that, we introduced comeback mechanics, which can turn the tide of a losing battle. No winner is safe.
Visually, our game features a unique identity created by mixing elements of our culture with iconic and recognizable archetypes from popular culture. The pixel-art style is instantly recognizable by those familiar with late nineties titles.
