Project attributes

Lucia Gonzalez is an upcoming singer-songwriter out of Montevideo, Uruguay. Her debut album produced and composed with Gabriel Casacuberta (Bajofondo, Supervielle) was edited by Bizarro Records in September 2012. Her style mixes various folk and indie-pop elements, such as vocal harmonies, orchestral arrangements, vintage beatboxes and electronic treatments. In 2013 she received the Graffiti Award (Uruguayan music awards) in the category of Best Pop-Rock album as well as a nomination for Best New Artist.
Her song Propergol, was covered by the band Bajofondo in their album Presente, sung by Gustavo Santaolalla. In 2014 she recived the National Music Award from MEC (Ministry of education and culture) for her song Loquat Tree. In 2017 Bizarro Records released her second album SOLAR, for which she was nominated for Best Female Artist in the 2018 Grafitti Awards.
