“Vanguardia Poética Latinoamericana y otros ensayos ” is an anthology book by the prominent uruguayan artist Clemente Padín (1939). It brings together essays written between 1965 and 2015, covering many topics of his practice: experimental poetry, mail art, video art and performance. Presents the work of Augusto de Campos, Wlademir Dias Pino, Jorge Caraballo, Clemente Padín, Guillermo Deisler, Dámaso Ogaz, Ulises Carrión, Edgardo Antonio Vigo, Dick Higgins, Eduardo Kac and Ladislao Pablo Györi, to name a few. Its a fundamental theoretical document for the understanding of South American poetic-visual work and avant garde.
