Velasco its a chaqueñan design company that feeds from the environment, for the design and production of serial clothing, custom clothing, rescuing the roots and ancestral knowledge.
In "Casa Velasco" the products of the brand are designed, produced and marketed. The knowledge transfer where the past is reinvented with the experimentation of new techniques giving value of what is done by hand.

Monte (colección 2018/2019)

Collection made in co-creation with an inter-disciplinary team. The main focus is to value our biodiverse culture and mountain abundance.
We take elements, materials and techniques from the region and re-sign them from the formal: morphologies inspired by work garments, raw material of the territory such as 100% Chaqueño cotton canvas, Paraguayan aopoi, denim and recovered textiles, artisan techniques such as silkscreen, patchwork with discards from the same collection, embroidery, ñanduti, weaving, making, thermo-fusion, recovering material out of circulation (plastics and orange nets), digital and traditional illustration.

TEREKUA DEL PARANÁ (Guardianas del Paraná)

TEREKUA DEL PARANÁ (Guardians of the Parana) are stories made costumes. It was co-created with an inter-disciplinary group: Emilia Velasco designer of clothing and textile artist + works of the artist Gustavo Mendoza + the group of Dance Identity afrodescendiente of Claudia Margosa and the photographic record of Paula Soulhie.
The pieces are made in Chaqueño cotton (canvas) of the cooperative Inimbó, with materials from the territory such as Paloma Yuyo, palo santo, chaguar and palm.

Yaicangui (Tierras onduladas en Qom) / Entretejidas

Textile work inspired by the geography in which we live, our context, reinterpreting it with lagoon and circular routes, its permanent transformations in its meandering paths of the Negro River that cross our city. Hence the intuitive and random construction of the assembly. They are modules that dialogue with each other and are mutating according to the surface where they are installed.
We are a textile laboratory where knowledge is shared in the form of workshops experimenting with different techniques. An invitation to the creative game from the re-use and re-signification of materials, incorporating new consumer habits more friendly with the planet.
When the laboratory plays big, it transforms into textile facilities that transform space in an unconventional way.
We have a strong imprint expressing our regional identity.
