The exhibition The Art of Disobedience aims to review the emergence of contemporary art in Colombia through the collection of Bogota’s Modern Art Museum, with a selection of more than a hundred works made between 1965 and 1984. This period was marked by the rupture with modernism, allowing important transformations to occur in the artistic practice and territory, expanding to consider processes and ideas as works itself.

The works in the exhibition appeal to a direct provocation to question the established order or to transgress values that did not respond to the ongoing changes in the world; through the use of dark humor and an ‘undisciplined’ attitude.
