ZZK Records

ZZK Records is an electronic music record label based out of Buenos Aires, Argentina that provides an outlet for new artists and producers who combine the folk sounds of more traditional Latin-American music with cumbia, hip-hop, and electronic sounds. Starting in 2008, ZZK has launched the careers of many staples of the Latin American underground scene, including Nicola Cruz, La Yegros, Chancha Via Circuito, Mitu, King Coya, Dat Garcia, Fidel Eljuri, and Animal Chuki and has collaborated with the legendary Bolivian indigenous singer, Luzmila Carpio.

It’s imprint label AYA focuses on contemporary Latin American musical expressions. AYA mixes Mateo Kingman’s hip-hop and Amazonian influences, EVHA’s exploration of Ecuadorian ceremony and landscape, and the all-acoustic band Rio Mira, a marimba supergroup.

ZZK Films, another side-venture is a production and film company focused on developing stories from around Latin America through interviews, performance, and documentary footage.
