Bento Lives is an augmented reality (AR) project, which recreates the village of Bento Rodrigues, sub district of
Mariana (Minas Gerais, Brazil) destroyed after the collapse of the Fundão Dam managed by the mining company
Samarco in November 2015.
We believe this memory deserves to exist and be available to everyone.
Using photos, a model made to map the land, drawings and descriptions from the residents themselves, we will create an artistic living renderization of the village in 3D, so that people can navigate the streets of Bento, Sandra's famous restaurant, the school, the churches of São Bento and Nossa Senhora das Mercês and its lively streets.
You can't change history, but we can make a point of not forgetting it.
